Rules Governing Cat® Credits

Caterpillar Customers who have received a Cat Credits electronic certificate (“Participating Customer”) should use the Cat Credits in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth below and stated on the electronic certificate.

  • Cat Credits are vouchers which may only be used to purchase parts, services (e.g., repairs, maintenance), rental and work tools at the participating Caterpillar dealer whose details are outlined in the Cat Credits electronic certificate (the "Participating Dealer"). Cat Credits may only be used at the premises of the Participating Dealer but not on an online platform if any.
  • New machines may not be purchased with Cat Credits. 
  • Cat Credits may only be used for commercial purchases and not to purchase items for personal, family or household use, including Caterpillar merchandise. Cat Credits may not to be used to settle existing current account receivables of the Participating Dealer. 
  • Cat Credits may not be used towards satisfying balances on any indebtedness held by Participating Customers with any entity of the Caterpillar group, including Caterpillar Financial.
  • Cat Credits may not be redeemed for cash or cash equivalents (such as gift card) under any circumstances. Cat Credits cannot store any value or be reloaded with any value.
  • Cat Credits issued to a Participating Customer are also non-transferrable under any circumstances.
  • Participating Customers will have a set amount of time to spend the Cat Credits from the date of issuance which will expire on a certain date (the “Expiration Date”) outlined in the electronic certificate (voucher). Expiration Dates on Cat Credits may vary. Once the Cat Credits electronic certificate (voucher) has reached its Expiration Date, they can no longer be used or redeemed.  The Expiration Date of Cat Credits cannot be extended.
  • Participating Customers will not be charged any fee for receiving Cat Credits or redeeming Cat Credits at the Participating Dealer.
  • Participating Customers might be required to verify their identity and may be subjected to such KYC procedures that may be required in the country of issuance of the relevant Cat Credit. Cat Credits cannot be accepted by the Participating Dealer if the Participating Dealer could not otherwise lawfully do business with the Participating Customer.
  • Cat Credits will not be issued to any government agency or government official unless part of a customer appreciation program permitting such issuances.
