For more than thirty years, Infrastructure Contractors, Inc. owner Tim Peterson has helped build communities from the ground up—literally. Whether it’s developing land for residential subdivisions, commercial buildings or just about any job in between, ICI grades, levels and prepares the land for jobsites across the Midwest.

It was all those years ago, Peterson also promised he’d never sacrifice the quality of his work for money, perks or anything else for that matter. And fast forward two decades, Peterson, his two sons and a business partner are keeping their craftsmanship high and downtime low with some help from their MTS 3630T construction tractors powered by Cat® engines.

“We got our first piece of MTS equipment about twenty years ago in the early 2000s. We needed to build out our fleet a bit and were still using old scrapers to get by,” says Peterson. That’s when MTS caught our eye.”

One thing you’ll notice about Peterson’s jobsites are how neat and clean they are. “Our jobsites, in a way, are advertisements for our business. We take pride in them, and it certainly helps that the MTS 3630T helps us do our jobs two to three times as fast as others. Like the time we had to move dirt from an Amazon Fulfilment Center construction site,” Peterson reminisces. “They had tens of thousands of yards of dirt stacked up, and we were called in to move it, along with other companies. We were the only ones using MTS, and we were pulling the dirt off with ease, moving more dirt in a day than anyone else there. And because our Cat® powered MTS tractors are so efficient, we have the ability to put extra time and attention into things that other businesses like ours might overlook."

OK, maybe not that last one. “There’s probably too many times to count where MacAllister has helped us avoid downtime or delays,” says Peterson. “Sometimes it’s finding us a part at the last-minute, other times it’s providing their years of service expertise to help us solve a problem. Whatever it happens to be, we know we can count on them to help us through.”
