Caterpillar to Showcase its Latest Equipment Innovation, Technologies and Service Options at M&T Expo 2024

The stage is set for Caterpillar to unveil its newest products, services and technologies at São Paulo, Brazil’s M&T Expo, the largest construction trade show in Latin America. The extensive Cat^® equipment display encompasses more 1550 sqm and will provide the ideal setting to launch next generation models. Caterpillar Technology, Services and Solutions areas will give visitors the opportunity to look beyond the iron for ways to increase operating efficiencies and improve machine uptime. The expo runs April 23-26, 2024, at the São Paulo Expo.

The Latest Equipment

The display, located at Booth A140, will have a New Product Introduction stage where visitors will see first-hand the latest in Cat equipment. Caterpillar experts will take the stage to talk about the improvements and enhancements to the machines. These updates are designed to increase jobsite efficiencies, promote Caterpillar’s evolving technology and showcase convenient solutions for all customers. 

During the expo, Caterpillar will launch the 340 and 350 Large Excavators that are designed specifically for customers who need a bigger machine. The excavators offer Lift Assist, Auto Dig Boost, E-fence, Grade 2D and Payload.

Other new models at the exhibit include the AP455 Track Asphalt Paver. The paver is designed for urban streets, parking lots and many other small to intermediate-type applications. The 950 GC is now manufactured in Brazil making it more convenient for Caterpillar’s South American customers. As any GC model, it is economic, low fuel consumption, easy to own and easy to maintain.

The next generation of small wheel loaders, with the Cat 924 model, will also be on display. In addition to the nomenclature change (removal of the letter K), the new model offers a range of technologies and features designed to simplify operations. 

The Cat 416 backhoe loader with an optional 4WD powershift transmission will also be featured at the exhibit. 

The Latest Caterpillar Services and Technology

The Technology area of the exhibit offers attendees the ability to experience a range of new and existing Caterpillar technologies.

VisionLink

• The cloud-based, customer-facing platform provides an integrated full-fleet management solution to track assets, help maximize machine uptime and optimize utilization. The platform is scalable for customers of all sizes and offers streamlined subscription levels to suit varying customer needs.

Cat Command

• The remote-controlled, semi-autonomous, or fully autonomous equipment systems- enabled by Cat® Command technologies – helps customers enhance operator safety and can help achieve improvements in site productivity.

Cat Grade

• The factory integrated grade control system is designed to help improve grading efficiency, accuracy and productivity.  The system automates blade movements in precision leveling and production rolling applications, reducing manual operator participation.

The Cat Central app is the latest tool for convenient access to genuine Cat parts and support, while the new Cat SIS2GO app takes the guesswork out of maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing Cat equipment.

Cat Rebuilds and Cat Reman

Customers will also experience Cat Rebuilds, which can return components to full machines to like-new condition and provide the dealer expertise that customers have come to expect.  Visitors will learn more about Customer Value Agreements which provide increased parts availability.

Another focal point at this year’s M&T Expo is Cat Reman. This repair option offers drop-in ready parts solutions at a fraction of the price of new when you return your end-of-life core. It also contributes to a circular economy by using less energy and new materials than the manufacture of new parts, while helping to limit unnecessary waste. The Cat C9 Reman engine display allows attendees to get up close to a real Cat Reman engine – one that is drop-in ready to reduce downtime and backed by a same-as-new Caterpillar Limited Warranty. Cat Reman sustainability statements represent U.S. environmental impacts comparing “gate-to-gate” remanufacturing and manufacturing processes for engines and components. It’s based on 2018 external study of Cat engines, alternators and turbochargers, and does not include impacts elsewhere in our value chain.

Caterpillar Work Tools

Caterpillar Work Tools will play prominent role in Caterpillar’s M&T Expo. Cat accessories can be customized to the specific requirements of the customer’s job needs.
