Cat® compact wheel loader fork attachments have always been a go-to attachment for almost every machine, no matter the size. And, thanks to industry-first advancements in auxiliary hydraulic systems, Caterpillar engineers have developed of a range of high-end Cat fork attachments that can be used with any machine in any industry or application.
The use of Caterpillar compact wheel loader fork attachments has been widespread, spanning small loaders to massive wheel loaders in any industry and application.
With a range of specialized Cat forks tailored for various tasks, there’s a Cat compact wheel loader fork attachment for every application. The Cat pipe and pole forks are designed and built for use in oil and gas field drilling, pipeline construction and above-ground utilities work. They have a wide carriage, fixed tines and a full-width, double-acting clamp to keep pipes secure during transport and while loading/unloading. The clamp can be positioned to hold large- or small-diameter pipes or poles against the tines, or positioned up and out of the way for handling other material. Clamping force on-pipe is enough to keep it secure and not cause damage.
The slip-on bucket attachment is a convenient option for yard cleanup. There’s no need to disconnect hydraulic lines or remove the fork attachment. The slip-on bucket enables productivity by making cleanup easier and more frequent. It fits neatly over the tines of the millyard pole fork, allowing quick yard cleaning and a swift transition back to forks when needed.
Sorting grapple fork attachments are ideal for unloading trucks, stacking and sorting timber at mills. They feature a tine-and-clamp design for quick and gentle loading. Forks are available with a kickout that unloads the fork even at full lift, enabling higher lumber stacking.
Cat pallet forks are a go-to attachment for palletized material on your jobsite. Pallet fork attachments for wheel loaders are the most basic yet versatile fork attachments. They are sized to handle all standard palletized loads so you can load or unload quickly, keeping your job moving and on track. Additionally, they are compatible with Cat Fusion quick couplers, allowing for easy transition between tasks.
Cat Fusion pallet forks have an open frame design and offset tines, offering maximum visibility to the tines at ground level and at truck bed height. You can configure the fork attachment to allow the tines to swing or stay in a fixed position.
Cat pallet fork attachments allow you to adjust the maximum and minimum width without the need for any tools, thanks to six evenly spaced locking points. You also have two options to select from, based on your application. With a Cat Fusion quick coupler, you can conveniently grab the fork attachment you need and switch to another one.
In the forestry industry, various types of Cat fork attachments are used for handling logs and lumber. First, we have the Cat log and lumber forks, equipped with flat fork tines and a raised back. These fork attachments are designed for loading, unloading, moving, decking, sorting and feeding the mill. They can be adjusted horizontally and are available with floating, non-swinging tines.
Next, there's the semi-millyard top clamp fork attachment, which enhances the capacity and holding ability of log and lumber forks. It can close between the tines for clamping small loads or open up to 90 degrees for handling large, palletized loads.
Logging fork attachments typically feature two independent top clamps that close down on the tine tips, providing maximum capacity for unloading trucks and feeding the lumber mill. They are reinforced at key areas to withstand the high-load environment of the yard.
Millyard forks are designed to move and sort logs throughout the processing cycle. They have a large top clamp that closes between the tines to pick up and move single logs while still maintaining the capacity for moving full loads. The curved frame design promotes a rolling action of the logs for smooth loading and unloading, and the structure is durable and built to handle heavy loads.
Lastly, we have the millyard pole forks, optimized for pole yards. These forks feature a refined frame profile and a top clamp that closes tighter to the frame. They ensure a secure clamping of single poles as they are moved through the yard, promoting smooth loading and unloading with their curved frame design.
While Cat compact wheel loader fork attachments are built to handle some of the heaviest and most cumbersome materials, they still need proper maintenance to ensure a long operating life. Not only does this extend your attachment’s lifespan, but it also ensures top performance.
