USING JOYSTICK STEERING IN YOUR CAT® WHEEL LOADER
The industry-leading joystick steering available in your Cat® Next Gen medium wheel loader brings comfort and complete control to your operator. The joystick steering feature is available for all medium wheel loader models and comes standard in many markets and on the 982/982 XE models. Let’s learn about the benefits of using joystick steering.
Using joystick steering in your Cat® wheel loader is designed to be intuitive and safe. The seat-mounted armrest featuring the steering joystick folds up for ease of entry and exit, and with no steering column, the operator enjoys enhanced visibility from the cab.
The ergonomically designed joystick features a thumbwheel shifting control for maximum ease. The joystick aligns automatically to the articulation angle at start-up and features full machine articulation capability and an active force feedback system to give the operator maximum accuracy behind the controls.
