COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course covers some of the basic concepts and principles of Cat® Gas Engines. This includes, difference between diesel and gas engine, compression ratios, combustion cycles, and stoichiometry.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
- Identify key differences between a diesel engine and a gas engine
- Name the most common compression ratios for gas engines
- Identify the different combustion cycles used in Cat engines
- Classify engines by their combustion type (rich, lean or ultra lean burn) and it's importance on emissions.
