On day four of CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2023, visitors explored the game-changing Caterpillar displays inside and outside the Las Vegas Convention Center.
In South Hall, the Cat C13D engine is the centerpiece of our Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) exhibit. This inline, six-cylinder industrial engine ranges from 456 to 690 hp and exceeds Stage 5 Final emissions standards –– making it an ideal solution for industrial equipment across the globe.
In the stadium outside, operators used their skills to show how Caterpillar stands at the forefront of product development. In the day’s first Technology Demo, attendees saw firsthand how Cat equipment and parts can help keep construction businesses working longer, harder and safer than before. Meanwhile, in our spotlight demo, focused on Cat Technology Evolution, operators and Cat experts showed how the next level of technological advances are designed to address customer pain points.
If you weren’t there in person, you can check out the full recordings of these demos and other events, like the Cat Trivia Showdown or Mike Rowe’s Mike Drop, here.
See what's happening in Vegas - here's what attendees are saying about the Global Operator Challenge, Cat exhibits and more!
On the third day of CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2023, attendees brought a new level of excitement to Caterpillar’s Operator Stadium and surrounding exhibits.
The crowds came out in full force, whether nabbing the latest swag from the Cat Merchandise area, grabbing a drink in the Cat Financial Lounge or viewing the day’s demos and events from the rooftop viewing area and the bleachers around the stadium. Right outside the bleachers, guests learned about Rental and Used options, visited the Paving display and participated in the Equipment Training Solutions experience –– all designed to give attendees a closer look at the products, services and benefits available to them.
Meanwhile, auto racing analyst and TV host Rutledge Wood joined us on the Operator Stadium stage to host the Cat Technology Demo. Rutledge brought his laid-back and enthusiastic style to the events, keeping things breezy as he and Cat experts discussed the latest equipment available to keep customer jobsites secure and workflows productive. As a seasoned TV personality, Rutledge was the ideal choice for the next event, the Cat Trivia Showdown, which gave members of the audience the chance to show off their Caterpillar knowledge. We followed these up with a new spotlight demo on Fuel & Jobsite Efficiency, another Mike Drop Q&A with Mike Rowe, a Jobsite Demo and an In the Dirt Walkaround, giving attendees the opportunity to check out machines and connect with Cat experts.
Ultimately, we loved seeing the Cat pride in full display. And if you couldn’t make the show, no worries. You can find full recordings from our live stream here.
Think you saw it all with the Operator Challenge? Think again. Just as Vegas is full of surprises, Caterpillar’s CONEXPO experience kept attendees on the edge of their seats.
While the Cat Services Hub, Sustainability Hub, Technology Hub and other areas gave attendees a lot to see, hear and interact with, much of the crowd was drawn to the excitement in the Operator Stadium.
Things kicked off with the Cat Technology Demo –– showing off some of the latest Cat equipment and displaying how Caterpillar’s new products can keep jobsites efficient, productive and safe. Next, the Cat Trivia Showdown pitted CONEXPO attendees against Caterpillar employees for prizes. Then, our spotlight demo, Cat Success with Services, showcased how Cat service options can help customers of all backgrounds and sizes. Afterward, Mike Rowe gave some anecdotes and insights during the first of this week’s Mike Drop series, and we rounded out the day with a final jobsite demo. This featured next-generation Cat equipment and the ways Caterpillar helps simplify the ownership and operation of these machines.
And if you couldn’t attend these demos in person, don’t worry. Find full recordings from the live stream here.
It started with over 5,000 competitors. Then, nine finalists made their way to Caterpillar’s Operator Stadium at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2023 in Las Vegas. The event, hosted by Mike Rowe and Caterpillar’s Jason Hurdis, featured three individual challenges –– using a wheel loader, backhoe loader and excavator. Each challenge gave our finalists the chance to show off the skills that make them some of the top operators in construction. Now, let’s celebrate the hard work that led them to this stage.
