Cat® Dealer Stowers Machinery helped Lenoir City Utilities obtain backup power to withstand any outage and ensure continuous power for its newly installed 82-mile fiber ring. Ranging in size from 35 to 60 kW, the 15 Caterpillar generators are located at substations where the fiberoptic nodes are housed. With Cat Connect installed, the generators will automatically start upon sensing a lack of utility power.
