Excavator Joystick Controls
When you’re getting to work, you want your excavator controls to be just the way you like them. That’s why Caterpillar has made it easy to use your monitor to reconfigure your joysticks and save your settings.

Let’s run through exactly how to change and reset your joystick configurations using your monitor.
Setting Your Excavator Joystick Control Functions [00:16]
Press the application menu button from the main screen.
Select the setting submenu, then the operator settings submenu, and click on operator inputs configuration.
You will see five options: left joystick, right joystick, lever pattern, restore to factory setting and current configuration.
First, check your current configurations. Your screen will detail the saved functions for all buttons and switches on your joysticks.
To change your settings, go back to the operator inputs configuration. Select the joystick you’d like to adjust. Each function will be matched with an image of its corresponding button or switch. Select each button and switch to assign or reassign a function. The configurations you assign are saved to your operator profile.

Spool response: Choose between slow, medium and fast.
Factory defaults: If you want to start fresh, it’s simple to restore factory default settings for joysticks and/or lever pattern.
