You know how important it is to understand the ins and outs of heavy equipment. And the same goes for your Cat® M315/M319 Wheeled Excavator. In this video, we show you a walk-around of your machine, with tips for safety and maintenance.

PRE-SHIFT CHECK [00:19]
As you walk around your M315/M319 Wheeled Excavator before operation, look for cracks, rust or other damage. Inspect your attachment and ground engaging tools (GET). Also check under your excavator for leaks and debris.
Important service points are behind the panels on each side of your machine. Watch the video to learn where to find:
Fresh air cabin air filter
Fluid sight gauges
Diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) purge light
Battery disconnect
DEF, fuel, coolant and hydraulic oil fills
Engine oil check, filter, fill and sampling port
SAFETY TIPS [02:39]
Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), as required. And keep your boots clean so you can safely maintain three points of contact when entering and exiting the machine.
Other safety tips you’ll see in the video:
Be mindful of pinch points and swinging/rotating parts.
In case of emergency, use the battery disconnect or engine stop control.
Keep compartment doors closed and latched.

Before operating your Cat M315/M319 Wheeled Excavator, move the mirrors for a safe view of your surroundings. Adjust your seat for comfort and easy pedal/joystick reach, and also learn all the important buttons and switches located in your cab.
